Health Promotion in communities of Kholifa Rowalla Chiefdom ![]()
This week, we launched a maternal and child health promotion project in partnership with the WIRhE Foundation (Worldwide Initiative for Rhesus Disease Eradication).
Over the coming weeks, we will visit 24 villages to meet with the communities and discuss key maternal and child health topics such as malaria, the importance of antenatal care, diarrhoea, malnutrition, and more.
We will also raise awareness about Rhesus incompatibility (when a pregnant woman has a Rh-negative blood type and her baby has a Rh-positive blood type), a condition that is largely unknown and neglected in Sierra Leone.
Together, let’s empower communities to make informed choices for their lives and the lives of their children ![]()
